Keeping Your Marriage Exciting

So you got married. How was the wedding?. I bet you think you worked hard preparing for your big day. You spent weeks and months searching for the best most perfect gown. How many fittings did you go for? You made sure to find the best make-up artist in your state.

You spent weeks on your invitations, the hall, caterer, and the thousand and one other things that go into making a wedding. Then comes the special day. The tension is finally over. Everything is in place. The magical moment has arrived. You come down the aisle. You are Married. Dinner, speeches, honeymoon. Maybe moving into your new home together. Opening your presents. Looking at your weeding pictures and videos.

Then you gently come back down to earth.

Less and less people congratulate you on your marriage. The excitement dies down. You go back to work. You are out of the limelight. You get into the routine of life.

Working, coming home, cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping and everything else needed for the smooth running of the house.

Your conversations start to take a whole different turn. Whereas when you were dating and engaged, you only had good exciting things to say, jokes to share, and funny stories to relate, now your conversations shift to more boring, mundane things. Household related items. "We need more milk". "Can you pick up my skirt from the dry cleaners on your way home?". Where are my shoes?"

As the months and years rumble by, the excitement continues to die away. Romance is way down on the bottom of the list of things to do. Spending time together seems to be getting more and more difficult with each passing day. The pace of life leaves us little time to spend with those that matter most to us.

But what happened to our dreams.

Spending our lives flying on the clouds.

We have forgotten the most important thing-each other.

We do not make it a priority to do things together.

You used to spend hours getting dressed for your special man, now it takes 30 seconds. A t-shirt and baggy pants.

You need to do things together. Alone. Make this your number one goal.

One hour before he gets home from work, stand in front of the mirror and get dressed. Spend some time putting on your make up. Put on perfume. Try a Calvin Klein perfume. The reason why I think you should try Calvin Klein perfume is because they do have an attractive smell. When your husband walks in and sees the effort that you have put in for him, and he smells the perfume the air, he will be fully focused on you. Make sure the T.V. is off. Have a table booked at his favourite restaurant and enjoy an evening together. Just the two of you. Just as it was all those months ago when the only thing on your minds was spending time together and getting to know each other better.
